Dicapo Opera Theatre continues its popular "Opera for Kids" series on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with General Director Michael Capasso serving as a humorous, passionate, and knowledgeable guide to the fundamentals of opera. Selected scenes are sung by Dicapo's Resident Artists in costume and with sets, to piano accompaniment. Between key events, Mr. Capasso elucidates the plot, hints at the complexities of the theatre's stagecraft, and fires children's imagination with a taste of grit and magic. Lively exchanges take place between Mr. Capasso and his enthusiastic young audiences; the performers and crew stay on during the post-performance question-and-answer period.
